John 3:16-21

The verse John 3:16 is one almost all good Christian kids know by heart. It is the doctrinal "biggy" for all evangelicals. It is almost expected that if you just hear this verse, you will come running to accept Christ as your Savior. "For God so loved (you) the world..."

In the Bible, the Book of John is significant. John claims to be the disciple that Jesus loved, but he is also the son of Salome, Mary's sister, making him Jesus' cousin.

Being equipped for faith does not always mean that we will appropriate that grace given to us. In fact, almost on a daily basis, we thwart the very purpose of our faith. We do this because we desire our own will, even to our detriment.
